The Community Watch is a recent development of a resident led project to reduce the fear of crime and are planning to run events focusing on health and employment.
The Police tell us that Stockfield has not had a lot of crime in recent months, which is very encouraging
news.
Stockfield Community Watch takes the Neighbourhood Watch idea a step further, and builds on an approach pioneered by our friends at Witton Lodge Community Association in Perry Common.
We are local residents who care about our neighbourhood and our community, and want to ensure that the concerns of local residents are heard and addressed. We will be in close communication with the Police and other local services, and are happy to pass on any concerns you have.
We will regularly be out and about in Stockfield, as a visible presence in the area. We’ll note any issues we see, but also want to hear from you, in confidence, about any issues or concerns you want to raise about crime, anti-social behaviour, or other issues – we’re here to listen to you.
How can you contact us? If you’d like to get involved in Community Watch, or have any questions, please contact Ann Ross on 0121 244 0152, or Jon Miles on 07866 702363.There is lots to be pleased about, but we’re all aware that there is still need for vigilance.
We are working closely with the Police to make Stockfield a safe place to live, tackling issues that matter to you such as graffiti, anti-social behaviour and littering, and we are grateful for the positive action taken by the Police, Environmental Wardens and others to address these.
