The Community Development Group was established to address the wider issues of maintaining the neighbourhood and improving the quality of life of the community.
The group meets on a monthly basis and includes Resident Directors, the Environmental Wardens, the Police, local schools and churches and is working to develop links with other organisations to improve the services and conditions experienced in Stockfield.
Its key aim is to strengthen community spirit and involvement of residents through events such as the Summer Fun Day, the installation of notice boards and a quaterly newsletter to keep everyone up to date.
