The Commuity Resource Centre was opened in November 2005 at 2a Alexander Road, Acocks Green, and is a place for the community to meet and somewhere for residents to recieve support in the form of housing and benefit advice, debt counselling, and a place to be listened to by the Community Association and the Police.
Whats On:
Andy Lane (Housing Officer) – 0121 303 3518. Sessions on
Tuesdays (2-4pm) and Thursdays (10am to 12pm).
Lee Collier (Debt and Benefits advice) – 0121 464 3120. Tuesday mornings (10am to 12pm), and new sessions on Monday mornings
Lee Collier has been providing debt and benefits advice at the resource centre at 2a Alexander Rd for over a year now, and has helped many local residents, providing assistance and reassurance over rent, housing benefit, and other issues. As demand for the service has grown, Lee will be offering another regular weekly
session, running from 10-12 o’clock on Monday mornings at the resource centre. This will be running from mid-March onwards. Lee’s regular Tuesday sessions will be continuing too, running from 10-12 o’clock.
